Opening Ceremony of MAIPk Farm (Waqf of Masjid Remuneration)
Sungkai, 21 September 2016 - MAIPk Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Amiruddin bin Muhamed has officiated MAIPk Sungkai Farm (Waqf of Masjid Remuneration). Tirmizi Bin Haji Mohamad Taib, the Chief Executive Officer of PKEINPk Sdn. Bhd. and Dato' Shoib bin Haji Abdullah, Board Member of PKEINPk Sdn. Bhd. also present in the ceremony.
This land is the land that was given by the State Government of Perak for the remuneration of mosques across the State of Perak. This land was registered in the name of Perak Islamic Religious Council & Malay Customs (MAIPk) on 12 April 2013 as the sole trustee of all waqf property throughout the State according to the legal provisions in force.
Dr. Amiruddin bin Muhamed with other invited guests were shown around the farm. He symbolically also enhance BTS first harvest of this farm. Farm with an area of 1850 acres is developed with oil palm by a subsidiary MAIPk, PKEINPk Sdn. Bhd. (PSB), in accordance with experience and expertise in the field of PSB farming.
PSB has initiated this project which began in August 2013 with the first plant in 2014 in approximately 120 trees per hectare. The result of the net profit of the estate submitted on MAIPk will be included in the Trust Masjid Negeri Perak governed entirely by MAIPk to be distributed to mosques based on needs and priorities. This step can indirectly reduce dependence on charity funds allocation mainly involving physical repair works of the mosque.
